Why am I running for Canyon County Commissioner:
I am running for the District 2
County Commissioner seat.
This district encompasses Caldwell,
Greenleaf, Melba, Middleton, Nampa,
Notus, and Wilder. I have lived most of
my life in Canyon County and have
worked for the County as court interpreter/
Interpreter Coordinator for the
past 23 years. My husband and I are
small-business owners as well as proud
parents and grandparents.
My community service is balanced
among several local
and statewide organizations. I currently
serve as President of both the Idaho Human
Rights Commission and the Caldwell
Housing Authority. I have also served on
the Idaho Workforce Development Council
as well as a past President of the Caldwell
Lions Club. I currently serve as Program
Director for the Caldwell Lions Club.
I have done my best to be very effective
in my leadership capacities and have
worked tirelessly to bring common sense
solutions to the decision making process.
Most of the boards I serve on
have allowed me to serve as
a fact finder on cases. I will use this experience
and knowledge to make decisions
which follow Idaho Codes and are
in the best interest of the people of Canyon
County.
Canyon County residents depend
on their elected officials
to protect the environment, preserve the
land, and plan for their future. Their
health, welfare, education, and unique
way of life are the reasons I am running
for County Commissioner.
I will serve our community
with integrity and prudence. I
strongly feel I will bring the experience
required to address the issues currently
facing Canyon County.
“Learn to work, work hard, and take
care of each other. It won’t make you
rich, but you will develop the tools that
you need in life; a good work ethic.”
I bring the wealth of these
words my father once said
as I worked in the fields.
I need your support to ensure
that in November, Canyon
County will have a Commissioner who is
committed and effective to all its residents.
Together we can do this. Take
your family, neighbors, and friends to the
polls on November 4 and VOTE Estella
Zamora for County Commissioner—
District 2.
