About Estella Zamora

"Learn to work, work hard, and take care of each other. It won’t make you rich, but you will develop the tools that you need in life: a good work ethic."

I bring the wealth of these words my father once said as I worked in the fields.

Estella Zamora has resided in Canyon County for over 40 years. The daughter of migrant field workers, Zamora was raised with the solid work ethic. Zamora has dedicated that work ethic towards her community, particularly through her efforts in promoting volunteerism, effective planning/development, and human rights.

Since 1985, Estella has served Canyon County residents as a court interpreter—a total of nearly 24 years! At present, Estella and her husband, Romero, also own and operate a small business that serves various businesses in the State of Idaho. Estella currently resides in Caldwell and is very familiar with Caldwell’s and Canyon County’s agriculture-based economy. Estella is the proud mother of two sons and proud grandmother of three grandchildren. She has held a myriad of leadership positions and has worked with various community members in Canyon County.

Estella currently serves as president of both the Idaho Human Rights Commission and the Caldwell Housing Authority. She also has served on the Idaho Workforce Development Council as well as a past President/Program Director for the Caldwell Lions Club.
